Accessibility
Kerrland Realty Group aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) sets for public websites. Accessibility is part of how a page here gets built, not a pass at the end.
Effective 19 August 2026
What we build in
Pages are structured with real headings, landmarks and lists, so a screen reader can navigate them by structure rather than by guesswork. Everything that works with a mouse works with a keyboard, and the focused element is always visibly outlined. Text and interface colours are checked against the WCAG contrast minimums. Our gold is used as an ornament on light backgrounds rather than as text, because it does not pass as body copy there. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology instead of being announced as noise. Motion is subtle and respects the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system. Nothing on the site flashes, plays sound on its own, or moves in a way you cannot stop. Form fields have labels attached to them, and errors are announced rather than shown only as a colour.
What we have tested
Every main page is checked with an automated accessibility audit as part of our build, and the site currently reports no violations on those checks. Automated tools catch roughly half of what matters, so we also move through the site by keyboard alone and check pages at high zoom.
What we have not verified yet
We have not finished testing across every screen reader and browser combination, and the site has not yet been reviewed by people who use assistive technology daily. Until it has, we would rather say so than claim full conformance.
Report a barrier
If something on this site does not work for you, please tell us — email kerri@kerrlandrealty.ca or call (289) 971-1362. Describe the page and what happened, and we will come back to you and fix it. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.
This wording describes how the site works today and is pending review by the brokerage before launch, against PIPEDA, CASL, AODA and the MLS® data licence.
